From start to finish we can take you through what happens and expected run times for our hosted murder mysteries. As to how long they take that really depends on the level of involvement from everybody on the night, but as a general guide we’d say anywhere from 90 minutes to 3 hours.

The Night Begins
From the moment your guests arrive, they are met by the Murder Mystery Fun cast and pulled straight into the story. Everyone is encouraged to mingle in character, uncover secrets, form alliances, and start investigating.
- This is where the atmosphere is built.
- No awkward standing around. No small talk.
- People are already laughing, scheming, and accusing each other before the first clue even drops.
Then the mystery officially begins.
Act One: The Investigation Explodes
The Chief Inspector takes centre stage and begins grilling the prime suspects in front of the entire room. Shocking revelations, accusations, and hidden motives are exposed as the plot thickens. Your guests are not watching a show — they are inside it, questioning suspects, swapping information, and trying to piece together what really happened.
Dinner Break: Suspicion Keeps Brewing
After Act One, we pause for your main meal, buffet, or finger food.
But the mystery doesn’t stop. Guests continue to gossip, interrogate each other, and quietly build their case while they eat. The killer is still out there.
Act Two: The Net Tightens
After the break, Act Two kicks off with even more energy, twists, and dramatic confrontations.
- New evidence surfaces.
- Alibis collapse.
- The pressure rises as everyone races to work out who is lying — and who is about to get caught.
The Big Reveal: Who Did It?
Before the truth comes out, every guest is given the chance to lock in their final accusation. Then the Chief Inspector reveals the murderer — or murderers. And here’s the part people love: The killers are always played by your guests. Which means someone in the room has been fooling everyone all night.
The Finale: Awards, Applause & The Perfect Finish
We wrap up by awarding prizes for Best Actor and Best Actress — our way of rewarding the guests who fully committed to the fun and made the night unforgettable.
If you have speeches, thank-yous, or formalities planned, this is the perfect moment to do them. The mystery has concluded, the energy is high, and the room feels complete.
